SIM is an international mission organization with more than 1,600 active missionaries serving in more than 50 countries. SIM members serve God among many diverse people groups in Africa, Asia, and South America.

However, Niger, the largest country in West Africa, remains one of SIM's oldest and largest mission fields. Since 1924, SIM has been working in this diverse and unique nation, which stretches from the sand of the southern Sahara desert, to the 'great brown god' of the Niger river delta.
